Oh, hi. How long have you been standing there?
Yes. I have neglected this tumblelog, as well as everything else, for the past couple of months. There is a hole in my back yard labeled January & February, and I involuntarily crawl into it every year. Like how an old dog crawls under the porch when it’s dying. So, since it’s March now, I just wanted to say hi. Hi.

Jonathan Haidt on the moral roots of liberals and conservatives This specific topic has been on my mind a lot over the past year. And because of the presidential race, I had many opportunities to get detailed perspectives from various people. Consequently, I found this talk to be really interesting. (via trey)

More on Chili
Okay, so after much repair work yesterday afternoon and 24 hours of refrigeration, I gave the chili another taste. It’s not too bad. Still not my favorite chili, but definitely edible.. I’d even go so far as to say “rather enjoyable” with some cheddar shredded into it. Stacie says it’s “damn tasty.”

It sounds like something you want, but you don't.
I tried to make chili today, and succeeded only in making a gigantic mess. First of all, don’t try to use 1554 Black Ale as a base for chili. Just don’t. Secondly, don’t assume that your 6 quart kettle will hold a recipe that claims to yield 5 quarts. Claims and actuality may differ drastically. Finally, what seems to be a simple process can turn into hours of unexpected...

Douchebaggery via super-structure: This should suprise no one. Karl Rove and Dick Morris are really two of today’s largest proponents of douchebaggery. If these two men had nothing to do with politics at all, today’s world would look much different. And Bill O’Reilly? Paid douchebaggist. (via BoingBoing)
